What is Cave Chimera?
It's the artist name of which I've composed and produced two full EPs of my original songs under, among other things, with more to come!
This is a project I originally conceptualized and starting working on since 2022, and this has been an active side endeavor and a massive outlet for my creative passion ever since, where I've been working on composing, producing, singing, mixing, mastering, and publishing my own music from scratch!
Through this, I have furthered my experience and understanding in singing, incorporating vocals into my musical arrangements, songwriting, song structure, mixing, and mastering. I've been able to learn a ton about successful publishing and networking in the music industry.
This is my second EP, No Signal, a project that I started back in January 2025. Unlike Around, which focuses a lot on the unknown, discovery, and change, No Signal discusses stagnation, paranoia, and bad habits.
I think a lot of this EP reflects a more negative state of mind I’ve had both in past and present regarding my fear, paranoia, and anxiety of both the world and my place in it.
I would say that making this EP has helped me examine myself and break free from a lot of negative spirals. In a way, both of my EPs are about circular motions, whether it be a new horizon or a vicious cycle.
This EP is significantly more experimental than the last one I did, but I’m happy with it. A big goal of mine with my music is to create something unique that has its distinct character and style to it, being a weird fusion of everything I love about music from various genres and eras— hence the name Chimera.
Around about growing up, facing change, and taking leaps, along with the fear, hope, yearning, struggle, pain, and triumph that comes with those journeys.
Growing up, facing the unknown and taking leaps of faith is not only a journey I have taken, but something represented by the process of creating this EP as well.
It is an expression of what I’ve done and felt through exploring my passion and creating these songs, both good and bad, through adaptation, obsession, aspiration, frustration, & inspiration.
For the longest time, I have held onto every composition I've made. Despite my intense passion for creating music, I had not shared anything with the world, I had not put myself out there.
Throughout these past few years while I’ve worked on this project, I've slowly learned that while facing the unknown can be terrifying, you have infinite possibilities when you lean into it. You just have to take that leap of faith.
